MGMT at US Open of Surfing

This show was held on the beach next to the Huntington Beach pier. I do not think that the venue was prepared for the amount of people that wanted to see MGMT. There were so many people there that I had to chill with other people outside the venue because there was only so much room for people inside the venue. Once the crowd knocked down the barricade I was able to get closer to see MGMT play, below are the pictures from the show.

Torche and Big Business at the Troubadour

On Sunday August 7th Thrones, Big Business and Torche played the Troubadour. I am a fan of Big Business and I was excited to see them played. They played older songs and new songs off their new Quadruple Single EP. I do not know how many EP they pressed, but Jared mentioned we should pick up at our local record store because they did not have any more to sell. If you like Big Business you should check out The Melvins who are playing the Sunset Junction festival in Los Angeles. Below are pictures from the show.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club at Del Mar Racetrack

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club played at the Summer Concert Series at the Del Mar Racetrack. Below are the pictures from the show. BRMC played some songs from their new album, Beat the Devil's Tattoo. A really good show that was fun to attend.

Iceage in the Southland

Iceage was in town to play an instore at Amoeba HW and a set @ part time punks held at the echo the following sunday. Saturday was supposed to be a day off and turned into two shows, a garage in north orange county and a Backyard in South Central hosted by the Silenzio Statico collective. we were lucky enough to be there and also made some new friends in the band. here are a few photos from the days events.
