Salvador One: Nameless in Life, Faceless in Death #1

The last year has been great for the punk community, not only are there tons of new bands coming out of alley ways left & right, you get more people coming to shows, more people throwing shows & people contributing to the scene. Here is a look through the eyes of a member of the Los Angeles punk community. Salvador shoots strictly 35mm & has a good eye for the real shit in plain sight that others won't notice. This first issue is limited to 50 so if you don't have one, chances are you outta luck. from what I heard, the next issue should be out soon. you can get these off of Sal for a few bucks, or if your nice a small donation. here are a few photos of his 1st release.

MATA MATA Benefit Matinee Show Sunday Feb 3rd

Come check out what Silenzio Statico /  M.P.L.D. brought back from their west coast tour and get a rare chance to check out the elusive MATA MOTA! this show is to help raise money for the new record store opening in a few weeks. FYI Kruel wont be able to play but I'm pretty sure somebody else will get added and you won't be disappointed.

Sad Boys (NYC) Draptomania, West Coast tour January 3rd-6th 2013

Drapetomania & Sad Boys from New York City, who shared some dates on the East Coast a few months ago are currently hitting the West Coast for a two week tour. I was lucky enough to catch four of the shows, and were they worth it! Along the few days I got to catch them in Santa Ana, L.A., Oakland & San Francisco. These shows were really something special, I feel that it ignited a scene that has already been on the ups. Not to forget the rest of the awesome bands and experience I've included a few extra photos of the trip. Try to catch them in your city on the remaining dates and be sure to pick up the new Sad Boys 7" as well as Drapetomania's 2012 7".

During Sad Boys my camera got messed up. Hopefully I'll be having it running sooner then later. Because of that I did not get to take photos of Drapetomania at this show or San Francisco. Thanks to everybody that went and the people who hosted me & my peers.

December Shows Blast! Get into it!

Below is a full listing for Decembers local hardcore / DIY ponk shows. You'll also find flyers for the Back From The Dead Vol's 1 & 2 which feature the return of Mata Mata, followed a week later with the Resurrected Rayos X. Beanzattack Photo Zine / Tape Compilation

I'm very excited to announce the release of my first photo zine!

 

The zine will feature photos from some of today's wildest bands, coming from various neighboring cities including South Central LA, Watts, Boyle heights, South Gate as well as touring acts.

It gets better! To make it extra special I've decided to compile a tape compilation with all new songs from a movement that I hold dear to my heart.
