This was the last show on the tour in support of Tan Bajo. I was able to see them perform earlier in the tour, you can read my review here. It was brought up in conversation with my colleagues that the band looked rocked out, but their show was definitely great. There was a lot of energy not only from the band, but also in the audience. With audience members yelling at the band for song requests and other concerns.

Murder City Devils at the FFF Fest
Murder City Devils played Friday night. This was one of the bands that I wanted to see and they did not disappoint. It was brought up in conversation with colleagues that Murder City Devils have written two new songs in 10 years, so this set was similar to recent shows. Their Twitter account did announce that there is a new 7" coming out soon. Looking forward to new material.

Sleeper Car at ND Bar and FFF Fest
Jim Ward's band Sleeper Car played the day before the festival at the ND bar. This was an intimate show at a venue in a great location a couple blocks from the FFF Fest. Sleeper Car played the first day of the FFF Fest the next day to help get the party started.

Total Control & Avon Ladies @ some spot in AZ
Total Control from Australia currently on a U.S. tour, played a show with Avon Ladies from Tempe, AZ at a warehouse that probably now smells like firecrackers. The shit went off and it was very smokey, so the Avon Ladies flix aren't very good. enjoy!

Davilla 666 at the Continental Room
Davilla 666 is currently on tour in the US to promote their album Tan Bajo. They played a free show at the Continental Room in Fullerton, CA. The room was packed from the stage to the bar with people. Davilla 666 were the headliners but Audacity, Death Hymn Number 9, and Feeding People also performed. If you have a chance to catch this band perform I would recommend it. Below are pictures from the show.

FYF Fest 2011
I attended the FYF fest this past weekend September 3, 2011 held at Los Angeles State Park. I attended the FYF fest last year at the same location and there was a big problem with bottled water being sold out and a lot of dust. This year there was never a shortage of bottled water but there is no way to eliminate the dust because the park does not have any grass. I think the dust problem is a direct result of global warming, but I am not a scientist. I missed OFF! and Smith Westerns but I was able to see Guided By Voices and Descendants. Below are pictures from the show.
